Helle Eriksen has been surrounded by horses all of her life. Growing up on a farm in Demark, Helle would gladly accept a ride on the back of her families plow horse. Her passion for horses compelled her to begin riding lessons at the age of eight, in the disiplines of dressage and jumping.

Helle brought her passion and deep knowledge of horses with her as she migrated to the United States in 1981. She continued to evolve her riding disciplines, first learning the nuances of western riding and then studying as a working student with accomplished hunter/jumper trainer Larry Larson.

Helle began instructing at San Domenico Riding School. Her riding philosophy and leadership enabled her to become Director of Riding at San Domenico, where she served for twenty two years.

In May of 2008, Helle became Director of Riding and Programs at Baywood Equestrian Center. She manages all day to day activies at Baywood while continuing to bring her riding philosophy and love of horses to her students.
